Laura, our Sales Designer, is on hand to guide you to the right decisions and provide you with your dream bathroom.
We asked Laura for her top bathroom design recommendations
“There is so much scope for bathroom design now, above and beyond the traditional 3 piece bathroom suite. This means we can really get the maximum use out of any space.
Minimalist designs are very popular.
Fitted furniture has taken off in a big way, with bathrooms being designed very much like kitchens. They provide loads of storage, hide ugly pipework and are a joy to clean (well almost). It’s not an off the shelf solution but the possibilities are endless and really make the most of any space, however awkward.
Another key trend is a seamless design with matching worktops, shower trays and back boards. We’re the only stockist in Rugby of Ambience Bain’s high gloss, stone resin surfaces. This is made from powdered stone with a gel coating which is also antibacterial. It works perfectly in bathrooms but also lends itself to lots of shapes and styles including integrated basins and made to measure shower panels and trays. There’s a wide variety of colours to choose from – even a shimmery finish
How do you go about designing an Otto Bathroom?
Design is important to us, and we like to think our expert eyes and fresh approach give you something very special. When you come into our Rugby showroom one of our team will talk you through what we have on display. We do this a lot so we quickly get a good idea of what you’re drawn to, both in terms of style, and your needs.
We’ll then book an appointment to come and visit you in your home. Here we’ll really get down to the nitty gritty. It is all about you and what you are hoping to achieve, in terms of budget, timeframe and scope of the project. We look to get the best possible result for you so a thorough survey will be carried out. More than just measuring up, we’ll have a look at your electrics, water system and flooring.
However Rome wasn’t built in a day, so we certainly won’t ask you to decide anything then and there. I take all that information back to the office and put my design skills to work, creating the perfect design for your space.
Now the fun starts, and you’ll be invited back into the showroom to go through the design, and make some specific choices on taps, colours, worksurfaces, shower trays – the lot. Don’t worry though, we’re on hand to offer you guidance and support at every step.
After two or three hours, and several cups of tea, you should be ready to press go.
Once the project is booked in, our team of recommended installers can get to work, or we can liaise with your existing contractor.
More about Laura
Laura has the perfect pedigree for Otto Interiors, combining both sales and design. She left her B2B sales role over 10 years ago in favour of property development. Since then, she has converted barns from scratch, renovated a ramshackled old cottage and even ran a business upcycling old furniture. When she’s not designing, she has two children Lottie and Jonah to keep her busy.
There is nothing she doesn’t know about the trials and tribulations of home improvements, and how to get the best results.
